Movie Critique: Le Jette

Le Jette

Le Jette is an extraordinary film.  It quiet and calm presence fills the viewers with emotion that can make you get so emotionally involved in what is happening. While the absence of video may make one skeptical of its stance as a film, it thoroughly communicates with its viewers through the images shown.
The story of the film feels old and dated, yet the concept is so science fiction like that you almost believe even more so in what you’re seeing.
The emotional connection and development of the characters in the short time frame of the film is so well done that you begin to know these characters half way through the film.

Overall Le Jette provides an extensive perspective on how much a short picture based film can really communicate emotionally.
